What are the opinions and the recommendations in prevention?

In France, in 2009 and 2010, the Haut Conseil de la Santé Publique (HCSP) proposes recommendations concerning carbone nanotubes and silver nanoparticles use.

The ANSES (“Agence Nationale de sécurité sanitaire de l’alimentation, de l’environnement et du travail”) and the INRS (“Institut nationale de recherche et de sécurité”) have also issued opinions and recommendations on use and protection related to nanoparticles.

In the 2012 guide, the INRS draws up a report concerning actual toxicology knowledge, characterization tools of professional exposure and prevention means.

The INRS recommends to adopt a precautionary approach and to establish risk assessment specific procedures in all professional environments where nanomaterials are present.
